OBJECT: 1989.0176 – Mary O’Neill Lace.
DESRIPTION: Sample of tape lace made by Mary O’Neill, Limerick School of Art and Design. 1904 – 1947. It is made of one piece of raw silk with inserts of lace (contrary to LM catalogue description). Lace border at end. It was shortened for unknown purposes. Tape is sewn onto the two sides and top of silk with glue still on the tape.

COMMENTS: We recommend that the tape be removed.
