Talk title: Four Seasons of Lace Bookmarks – Ann Keller
Talk Abstract: Ann Keller will present a short account of how this project came about and the process, working with Simona Krajsek in Slovenia. She will comment on how travelling to experience lacemaking techniques in different countries has enriched her work and her life, and also given her opportunity to showcase Irish lace abroad. It has all brought her to this latest exciting adventure, which has resulted in a very special publication.
Ann will display samples of some of the lace bookmarks included in the book, and share complimentary printed bookmarks from the publisher.
Bio: Ann Keller has been designing and teaching Bobbin Lace since 1985. She has travelled the world with lacemaking and in resent years has established strong connections with lacemakers in Slovenia. Having previously self-published a number of Bobbin Lace pattern and instruction books, now Ann has collaborated with Slovenian lace designer and teacher Simona Strgulc Krajsek to publish Lace Bookmarks, Four Seasons of Lace Bookmarks, which is being very well received across the world.
