Visiting the Cork Public Museum Lace Collection

On May 25 2023, a group of Friends of Lace members travelled to Cork to visit the Cork Public Museum.

Thanks to the curator Daniel Breen and to his colleagues, we had access to a significant part of the Limerick lace pieces in the collection!

Daniel also showed us a sample of the lace patterns in the museum collection. Studying and photographing the pieces was hard work- so many impressions! We are forever grateful to the museum staff who made our visit so enjoyable!
